How to Style Your Box Braids: 10 Easy Hairstyles

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! It's Brittany, and today I'm going to show you 10 easy hairstyles you can do with your box braids. I prefer traditional box braids over knotless braids, and I've had my braids for over a month now. They were starting to look a little messy, so I decided to do a quick refresh without damaging my edges. If you're interested in learning how to refresh your box braid roots, check out my video from 2020 (link in the info card).

To refresh my roots, I used Sea Breeze to clean my scalp with a washcloth. Then, I sprayed a mixture of water and the Myo Rosemary Mint oil onto my scalp and hair. Next, I went section by section, using the Style Factor Edge Booster to smooth and secure my braids. I parted the spaces between the braids with a rat tail comb, applied edge control around each box, and twisted the braids a few times before tucking them back. I used clips to hold everything in place temporarily.

I've seen some people use the interlocking method, where they crochet the braid within itself and twist up the root. While this method works, I find it difficult to remove later. Since I wanted a temporary fix, I opted for the method I just described. Keep in mind that I'll be taking out these braids in a few days, so this refresh is only temporary.

Now, let's get into the fun part! I'll be showing you some easy styles you can do with your box braids. But before we start, let me introduce you to my favorite head wrap. It's a cotton stretch head wrap that I got from Amazon. It comes in a pack of nine with various colors, and it's perfect for achieving the looks I'll be demonstrating today. I'll also mention some pre-tied head wraps I love, so check out the links below.

Alright, let's jump into the hairstyles. Feel free to pause the video if you need more time to recreate any of these looks. Don't forget to let me know which style was your favorite in the comments below. And if you enjoyed this video, give it a thumbs up, share it with your friends and family, and don't forget to subscribe to my channel and follow me on social media. Thank you so much for your support, and I'll see you in the next video. Bye guys!
