So, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thanking Subscribers

Now that we've acknowledged this incredible milestone, let's move on to the main topic of today's video. But before we do that, I want to reiterate my appreciation to all those who genuinely show interest in me and what I do. Your support means a lot, and I can't express how grateful I am for each and every one of you.

Inspiration for the Bag

Today, I will be creating a bag that is inspired by one of my favorite characters from the game Genshin Impact - Sucrose. I have been playing this amazing game for the past three months, and Sucrose quickly became one of my favorite characters. She has a unique design, with vibrant colors and an overall captivating appearance. I couldn't help but be inspired by her and wanted to create a bag that reflects her essence.

Designing the Bag

To bring my vision to life, I started by sketching out different ideas for the bag. I wanted to incorporate elements from Sucrose's design, such as her signature color palette and the gems that represent her elemental powers. After careful consideration, I decided to make the bag a crossbody style, large enough to accommodate my laptop for practicality and daily use.

Choosing Materials

When it came to choosing materials, I wanted to ensure that the bag would match my personal style and wardrobe. While Sucrose's outfit has a lot of blue, I opted to use it for the bag's lining instead. This way, the bag would be versatile and go well with the rest of my wardrobe. I found a blue wool that perfectly matched Sucrose's color design for the lining.

Creating the Lining

I began by sewing the rectangles for the lining. Wool has a tendency to stretch, especially when carrying heavy objects like a laptop. To combat this issue, I added interfacing to make the lining more sturdy. While it is generally recommended to iron the interfacing onto the fabric, I chose to sew it on instead, as I didn't want to risk damaging the wool with heat.

Sewing the Rectangles

With the lining complete, I moved on to sewing the main white part of the bag. The entire project consists of sewing rectangles together, which may sound boring, but it allows for a straightforward construction process. Once the white part was ready, I pinned it to the lining, ensuring they aligned perfectly.

Making the Closure Flap

Before attaching the white part to the bag, I needed to create the mint closure flap. This flap would hold the bag securely shut and provide a visually pleasing detail. Once the flap was constructed, I positioned it on the bag and carefully sewed it in place. Additionally, I attached small snaps to ensure the bag stayed closed when needed.

Attaching the Straps

To ensure the bag was comfortable to carry, I needed to sew the straps together properly. I was thrilled to discover that I could make adjustable straps, allowing me to customize the bag's length to my preference. Sewing the straps securely in place was essential for the bag's functionality.

Final Touches

With all the major components in place, it was time for the final touches. I needed to paint the miniature clay piece that would go on the front of the bag, resembling the elemental gem found in the Genshin Impact game. After painting it carefully, I hot glued it to the front of the bag, hoping it would hold securely.

Conclusion

And there you have it—the finished product, a Sucrose-inspired messenger bag. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The design elements, including the blue lining and the clay piece, beautifully capture the essence of Sucrose's character. Moreover, the bag is functional and can comfortably hold my laptop, which was the primary goal of this project. This has been one of my favorite creations so far, and I am incredibly grateful to have achieved what I envisioned.

Thank you once again for joining me on this journey. If you enjoyed this Genshin Impact-inspired project, be sure to follow me on Twitch and Instagram for more exciting content and updates on future projects.
