How to Make a Beautiful Seashell Bag: Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome back to my channel! In today's video, I'll be showing you how to make a beautiful bag that I've named the "Seashell Bag" because it resembles the shape of a seashell. This project is perfect for beginners as it is super easy and fast to make. So if you're interested in learning how to create this stunning bag, just keep watching the video and don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more exciting tutorials.

Step 1: Making the Foundation Chain

To start off, you'll need the following materials: a bowl of yarn (I recommend using Bernard Maker for this project), scissors, a 10mm crochet hook, a tapestry needle, and a stitch marker. Begin by creating a slipknot and then chain 26 stitches. This will serve as the foundation chain for your bag.

Step 2: Single Crocheting the Body of the Bag

Once you have your foundation chain, single crochet in the second chain from the hook and continue single crocheting all the way down the row. You should have a total of 25 single crochet stitches in this row. For the next row, chain one and single crochet in the back loop only of each stitch. Repeat this pattern for 11 rows, increasing by one single crochet in every row until you have a total of 35 single crochet stitches.

Step 3: Increasing and Crocheting the Sides of the Bag

Now that you have the body of the bag, it's time to start increasing the sides. Chain one and single crochet until you reach the stitch marker. When you reach the stitch marker, make an increase by single crocheting in the same stitch. This increase will be marked with a stitch marker. Continue crocheting in this manner until you have a total of 25 single crochet stitches.

Step 4: Decreasing and Closing the Bag

To decrease and close the bag, chain one and single crochet until you reach the stitch marker. Once you reach the stitch marker, decrease by single crocheting the next two stitches together. Repeat this pattern until you have 25 single crochet stitches.

Step 5: Flipping the Bag Inside Out and Closing the Seam

Flip the bag inside out so that the seam is on the inside. Remove the stitch marker and close the sides of the bag using slip stitches. Take the back loop only of each stitch and slip stitch your way down until you reach the end. Cut the yarn and tie a knot to secure it.

Step 6: Creating the Brim of the Bag

For the brim of the bag, start with a slip stitch all the way around the top of the bag. Do this for four rows, taking the top loop only of each stitch. You can adjust the width of the brim by adding more or fewer rows.

Final Touches and Customizations

Once you have completed the brim, you can add any final touches or customizations to your bag. This can include adding a lining, attaching handles, or adding a tassel for decoration. Get creative and make the bag your own!

Conclusion

Congratulations! You have successfully created a beautiful seashell bag. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found it easy to follow.
